This is What comes to mind when I think about the past WSPA dance teams. Being on team is a commitment to yourself as well as other team members and to those instructors who are working with you.
It has never been my goal to bring home the trophies. More important is the improvement in performance skills. Then the trophies are the frosting on the cake. Of course there are times when I am hoping the members have placed in a competition as I am aware that their focus is not the same as mine and winning is important to them. There are life long lessons and memories to be made being on team. Performing and competing with other students from all over the US is one of them.
To have a successful team you must not only work hard but also have the right costume, shoes, tight, hair, make up. Does this cost money? YES!
Costumes can range from $75.00 to $150.00 each Each costume might require special shoes. As a teacher I know that you either costume it right or don't do it at all.

The WSPA dance team has it's own weekly classes on Wednesdays in ballet, tap & jazz for dance team members only. Students will be able to enjoy having class along with the opportunity to rehearse team competition pieces each week. All team members will be required to take a second ballet class each week. The second required ballet class will be the same class you were enrolled in last year.
