Competition

WSPA dance teams have won National Championships every year since 1994. Five students gained national recognition as Tremaine Dancers of the Year: Laurie Irwin, Michael Frankey, Lindsey Macker, David Birr, and Anthony Andersen. They toured with the Tremaine faculty all over the U.S.

All dancers at WSPA are eligible for one of WSPA's competition teams. Participants must be at least 8 years old, must attend all required events, and must participate in all WSPA workshops. The competition teams meets weekly for classes ballet, tap, and jazz. Teams travel and compete at regional and national competitions and workshops. Members must be enrolled in tap, jazz, and two ballet per week.

Building self-esteem is the main goal of the director. There are no auditions and there are no "cuts." Please check with the director for availability of openings on the team.
